2 balls of Patons® Kroy Socks (50 g / 1.75 oz)
Set of 2 size 3.25mm (U.S. 3) knitting needles

Cast on 64 sts loosely.
Work 10 rnds in (K1 P1) ribbing.
Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures approx 4 ins [10cm] ending on a purl row.
Next rnd: knit, inc 8 sts evenly around, 72 sts.

Work 5 rnds in (K1 P1) ribbing.
Shape heel opening:
Rnd 1: Rib first 18 sts of row, cast off next 36 sts loosely in ribbing, rib to end of row.
Rnd 2: Rib first 18 sts then cast on 36 sts loosely and then join in with remaining 18 sts. (Very important to rejoin as close to the last remaining sts as possible.)
Next rnd: Knit, decrease 8 sts around evenly, 64 sts.
Work in stockinette stitch until section measures 2 1/2 inches [6cm.
Work in 10 rnds of (K1 P1) ribbing. Cast off in ribbing.
Stitch up socks and you're ready to roll.
